Every Smile Starts with a Consultation

Begin your Orthodontic journey, by visiting our Woodbridge office and receiving a free orthodontic consultation. At this time you’ll get acquainted with our professional team and learn about orthodontics. During your initial meeting, we'll:

  • Review your dental and medical history
  • Perform a complete oral exam, with X-Rays, to determine whether treatment is necessary
  • Work with you to create a customized treatment plan
  • Discuss financial information, insurance options, and payment plans

After Your Initial Orthodontic Consultation

Once you complete your consultation we will help you schedule your first appointment with your orthodontist. This is when you will be helped to complete paperwork, concerning your orthodontic needs. A second appointment will be needed to schedule for x-rays. You can count on our Woodbridge team to help you feel comfortable during your second appointment which generally lasts around 2 hours. If at any point you have questions about your new orthodontic appliance, just ask one of our Woodbridge assistants who are always happy to help you.

Scheduling Orthodontic Appointments

It is important that you come in for a visit every four to eight weeks after receiving your new orthodontic piece so we can make sure it's working properly. We understand that you lead a busy life, and so we do our best to find times at your convenience to schedule these appointments.

We know that life can be hectic, that is why if for any reason you need to reschedule an appointment, all you have to do is call our Woodbridge office. Let us know what you need and our Woodbridge Coordinator will work with you to find a time, that fits into your schedule.

Woodbridge Orthodontic Treatment Options

Child & Teenage Orthodontics & Teeth Straightening

There are various orthodontic problems that might affect children and teens, these are often a result of injuries or genetics in children, but can be caused by late tooth loss, or thumbsucking habits, these issues include: crowding, widely spaced teeth, jaw growth problems, protruding teeth, or bad bites. While it is sometimes the case that children’s orthodontic issues may correct on their own, they often do not. It is important to fix orthodontic issues early, as it is a fact that jaws harden by adulthood. Adult orthodontic problems won’t get better with age and many can require orthodontic surgery.

Be proactive for your child, and bring them into our Woodbridge office. Fixing an orthodontic problem for them now can spare them from more complicated orthodontic issues upon reaching adulthood. If your child is seven or older it is not a good idea for you to wait to see if their problem goes away on its own. Instead, talk to our Woodbridge orthodontic office to schedule your initial exam. CT Braces is ready to remedy any orthodontic issues your child might have. We want your child to feel confident about their smile.

Two-Phase Orthodontic Treatment

It is important to us that your child’s smile is both beautiful and healthy, that is why we created our Two-stage, three step program to make it possible.

  1. Phase one is about making sure your child's permanent teeth grow properly aligned. This phase involves meeting with your Woodbridge Orthodontist, so they can recommend a treatment for any jaw growth, tooth crowding, or spacing issues.
  2. After this, your child’s permanent teeth can naturally grow into place without the use of a retainer, during a resting period.
  3. In Phase Two, our Orthodontic professionals will fit your child with a full set of upper and lower braces that will help with the alignment of any permanent teeth.

Contact our Woodbridge office, if you would like to learn more about our orthodontic practices. We are happy to provide more information or assistance.

Woodbridge Adult Orthodontics

You might just believe that only children need orthodontic treatment, however, this is a myth. Actually, one in five orthodontic patients is over 21, as found by the American Association of Orthodontists. CT Braces of Woodbridge cares about you and believes everyone deserves a healthy smile they can be proud of.

The adult's jaw is different from that of a child or teen. It is harder, leading to a higher risk of gum or bone loss, worn or missing teeth, or incomplete orthodontic treatment.

CT Braces in Woodbridge knows the proper way to handle both, adult and child orthodontic needs. To start your journey towards a better smile call our Woodbridge orthodontic practice and request information and to set up an initial exam.

Woodbridge Surgical Orthodontics (Orthognathic Surgery)

Surgical orthodontics, also known as orthognathic surgery, is used to treat severe issues in:

  • jaw bone formation
  • bad bites
  • malocclusion – misaligned teeth.

Surgical orthodontics is the first step towards properly aligning your teeth. Next orthodontic braces are used so that your teeth stay in the proper positions. CT Braces Woodbridge Orthodontist works with an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, who will perform your surgery in a hospital.

Orthodontic surgery takes several hours to complete. Following your surgery, we insist that you have a rest period of at least two to four weeks, for recovery. Once your resting period ends, you will be fitted for braces. Typically you will wear your braces for six to twelve months, then after that, a retainer to ensure the placement of your teeth. Surgical orthodontics (otherwise known as orthognathic surgery) is a major medical procedure that is commonly performed and has been successfully practiced for many years. We’re glad you chose to consider CT Braces in Woodbridge for your orthodontic treatments because we know that we are unrivaled when it comes to your comfort. For more information, call our office.

Woodbridge, CT Invisalign® Options

Woodbridge CT Braces is a certified provider of Invisalign®. Invisalign® treatment consists of invisible, removable aligners that will help you achieve a healthy, straight smile without the use of braces. With the use of these comfortable trays, you can still eat, drink, brush and floss during your treatment. You will simply need to have a new set of aligners every two weeks that will slowly but surely help move your teeth to the desired position.

Periodically throughout your treatment, we recommend you visit your Woodbridge orthodontist, to monitor your progress and see that your treatment is progressing correctly. Visits should be spaced by around six weeks, during the entirety of your treatment which on average takes around 9-15 months. If you would like to discuss the benefits or learn more about Invisalign® please contact your Woodbridge CT Braces office for more information.
