Redding Orthodontic Treatment Options

Child & Teenage Orthodontics  & Teeth Straightening

Is it starting to be apparent that your child may have problems with crowding, spacing, protruding, bad bites or jaw growth issues? These types of issues can be caused by almost anything, but they should be corrected before it’s too late. Perhaps these features were inherited or the result of early or late tooth loss or simply by habits like thumb-sucking. The good news is that by addressing these issues early on, we may be able to help your child avoid any major orthodontic issues or surgeries in the future.

When your child comes to our Redding office and starts to participate in our orthodontic treatments, we’ll be able to help them avoid major orthodontic surgeries in the future. If you are starting to notice the need for orthodontic treatments in your 7 year old, please have them come into our Redding office for a consultation. The first sign of issues is a great time to have your child’s teeth and jaw alignment checked out. We want your child to achieve a beautiful, healthy smile that they’ll enjoy throughout their life.

Two-Phase Orthodontic Treatment

To promote a healthy, beautiful smile for your child, we suggest that they begin with our Two-Phase treatment. This treatment combines three easy steps.

  • Phase one begins with your Redding orthodontist creating a custom, personalized plan for your specific orthodontic needs. This could range from jaw growth to spacing issues to anything in between. By using our recommended treatment, you will be able to help your child achieve a straighter, healthier smile.
  • After your procedure is finished at our Redding office, we will suggest that your child has a rest period. This will be when some of their permanent teeth will grow in without the help of a retainer.
  • Once they’ve finished up their recommended rest period, they can move to the second phase of the treatment plan. At this time, your child will receive a full set of upper and lower braces to align their permanent teeth.

Is your child in need of professional, reliable orthodontic treatments in the Redding area? We can provide you with all the necessary information to get you started.

Redding Adult Orthodontics

Out of all the orthodontic patients in the United States, the American Association of Orthodontists found that one in five orthodontic patients is over the age of 21. At our CT Braces of Redding office, we want to help you achieve the smile you’ve been waiting for.

Since a child’s teeth and jaw are still progressing they won’t face as many major issues as an adult would. Adults may have problems with permanent damage and are at higher risk to gum or bone loss and worn or missing teeth.

At our Redding office, we understand the attention and needs of all our adult patients. We will always want to assist you with any orthodontic issues you are currently facing.

Redding Surgical Orthodontics (Orthognathic Surgery)

Surgical orthodontics, which is also commonly called Orthognathic Surgery can help you with:

  • Jaw bone formation
  • Bad bites
  • Malocclusion – misaligned teeth.

For jaws that aren’t aligned correctly, the need for surgical orthodontics and orthodontic braces is high. This will help move your teeth into the correct position. To provide you with these treatments, our Redding offices will have an oral and maxillofacial surgeon perform the procedure on you at a hospital.

This procedure will take a few hours and must be followed with around two to four weeks of rest. Once your surgery is completed you’ll need six to twelve weeks of rest. Surgical orthodontics (orthognathic surgery) that is a major medical procedure but it’s backed by many years of success. We will always want our Redding patients to feel comfortable, so we take the extra steps necessary to do so.

Redding, CT Invisalign®  Options

Our Redding CT office is a professional, reliable Invisalign® provider. Essentially, Invisalign® is very similar to the purpose of braces, but without strict guidelines. Instead of having orthodontic braces that must remain on your teeth for months, you’ll be given a removable, clear aligners that won’t affect your eating, drinking, brushing or flossing habits. To keep up with your treatment plan, you will have to replace your aligners every two weeks. Since this is a gradual process, your teeth will be moving and in order to keep up, new aligners must be set into place.

The entire treatment plan of Invisalign® will take around nine to fifteen months. To make sure your on the right path, we suggest that you come into our Redding office every six weeks. If you ever have any questions or simply would like to learn about Invisalign®, please reach out to our Redding office.
