Every Smile Starts with a Consultation

We look forward to seeing you for an orthodontic consultation in Oxford, CT. Our staff will explain how orthodontics can be a huge benefit to you with a comprehensive exam. The staff will help you decide what treatment is best for you!

  • Review your dental and medical history
  • Perform a complete oral exam with X-Rays, to determine whether treatment is necessary
  • Work with you to create a customized treatment plan
  • Discuss financial information, insurance options, and payment plans

After Your Initial Orthodontic Consultation

Once your examination is complete, we will schedule an appointment to fill out all the paperwork and put you in for an X-Ray. An Oxford orthodontist assistant will explain the process in detail. The following appointment will be about 2 hours long. The staff in our Oxford practice will be sure you are informed, relaxed, and comfortable during the process.

Scheduling Orthodontic Appointments

Upon receiving your orthodontic fitting, we need to be sure it is working correctly. Therefore, we insist our patients visit the Oxford office every 4-8 weeks. We do our best to make sure patients with very hectic schedules get an appointment that works for them.

Oxford Treatment Options

Child & Teenage Orthodontics  & Teeth Straightening

Countless orthodontic problems can occur in children, including; teeth spaced too wide, jaw growth problems, teeth that protrude, overbites, and underbites. In children, misaligned bites can be caused by tooth loss that happens too early or late in life and a bad thumb-sucking habit. Some of these orthodontic problems can be corrected with age, but they harden as the child grows up into adults. When these problems are revealed in adulthood, they will not go away independently and may require orthodontic intervention in the form of surgery.

At CT Braces in Oxford, children can receive the proper treatment to prevent orthodontic problems that will crop up later in adulthood. At the age of seven, if the child needs a procedure, they should be seen promptly as the issue will not correct itself. Reach out to our Oxford office to schedule a consultation. Ct Braces will help your child achieve the perfect smile.

Two-Phase Treatment

CT Braces has a Two-Phase treatment to achieve your child's perfect smile in Oxford CT. An Oxford Orthodontist will create a customized plan specifically for your child to ensure your child's teeth are correctly aligned. This plan of treatment can help with tooth crowding, spacing problems, and improper jaw growth.

  1. The oxford orthodontic team will create a custom treatment plan for the child's teeth during phase one. This will address any concerns with teeth crowding, jaw growth, and spacing problems. Your child's adult teeth will then be aligned correctly when they grow in. With this comprehensive custom treatment, your child will not need a retainer.
  2. The Oxford orthodontic team will give your child upper and lower row braces to straighten out permanent teeth during the second phase.
  3. If you would like to learn more about what our Oxford office can offer, please call us to set up a consultation.

Oxford Adult Orthodontics

Many of our Oxford Orthodontic patients are over the age of 21. The American Association of Orthodontists says 1 in 5 patients are over 21- so don't hesitate to call us. Our goal is to give you a straight and shiny smile that you are happy to show off.

There is a big difference between Adult and Children's Orthodontics. Adult's jaws are hard, which can lead to missing or deteriorated teeth and a very high chance of bone or gum loss. We often find incomplete orthodontic treatment from the patients' childhood.

At CT Braces of Oxford, we are aware that children and adults have very different orthodontic needs. We can address both! Call our Oxford office for further information, and we can set up an exam.
