Orange Surgical Orthodontics (Orthognathic Surgery)

Surgical orthodontics, also known as orthognathic surgery, is used to treat severe issues in:

  • jaw bone formation
  • bad bites
  • malocclusion – misaligned teeth.

Surgical orthodontics is how you will begin properly aligning your teeth. Following, orthodontic braces are used, to keep your teeth stay in the proper positions. CT Braces Orange Orthodontist works with an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, who will perform your surgery in a hospital.

Orthodontic surgery can last several hours, and requires a period of rest afterwards. This recovery period should last about two weeks. After your resting period ends, you will be fitted for braces. You will wear your braces for around six to twelve months, and after that, a retainer to ensure the placement of your teeth. Surgical orthodontics (otherwise known as orthognathic surgery) is a major medical procedure which is commonly performed and has been successfully practiced for many years. We’re excited you chose CT Braces in Orange for your orthodontic treatments. We will give you the best treatment, and most comfortable service. If you would like more information call our office.
