For your first consultation with an orthodontist in Danbury, you’ll meet with our team, learn about the process of orthodontics, have an initial exam, and find out which treatments work best for you. During your appointment, we’ll assist you with:

After Your Initial Orthodontic Consultation

Two-Phase Orthodontic Treatment

- Phase one begins with visit our Danbury orthodontist office to treat any jaw growth, tooth crowding or spacing issues that your child may be facing. This will help with encouraging proper alignment for their permanent teeth.
- Next, there will be a rest period where your child’s permanent teeth will grow in without causing any problems with a retainer.

Danbury Surgical Orthodontics (Orthognathic Surgery)
If you require a surgical orthodontic procedure, also called orthognathic surgery, we can help treat:

malocclusion – misaligned teeth.
If your jaw is not aligned properly, you’ll first need to recorrect it with surgical orthodontics then orthodontic braces will help position your teeth. Our Danbury orthodontists at CT Braces will recommend an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for your surgery in the hospital.
The procedure will take several hours, and we recommend that you have a two to four week rest period. After your surgery, you will need to have braces for around six to twelve months and a retainer afterward. Your sessions of wearing Invisalign will include a new set of aligners every two weeks that help move your teeth ever so slightly with each new set.
On average, you will need to use your Invisalign for an average of nine to fifteen months.
