Every Smile Starts with a Consultation
Learn more about orthodontic practices and meet our experienced and friendly team when you come in for your first orthodontic consultation in Branford. During your initial meeting, we'll:
- Review your dental and medical history
- Perform a complete oral exam with X-Rays, to determine whether treatment is necessary
- Work with you to create a customized treatment plan
- Discuss financial information, insurance options, and payment plans
After Your Initial Orthodontic Consultation
Following your consultation, it is time to schedule your first appointment with your orthodontist, where you will be helped to complete your paperwork. A second appointment will need to be scheduled for x-rays. Our Branford team will be there to make sure you’re comfortable during your second appointment, which generally lasts around 2 hours. At certain points, you may have questions about your new orthodontic appliance, fortunately, our Branford assistants will always be there to help you.

Branford Orthodontic Treatment Options
Child & Teenage Orthodontics & Teeth Straightening
While sometimes caused by late tooth loss of thumbsucking, it is often injuries or genetics of children that cause several common orthodontic issues such as crowding, widely spaced teeth, jaw growth problems, protruding teeth, or bad bites. While Children’s Orthodontic issues may correct on their own, it is not always the case, and it is a fact that jaws harden by adulthood. So keep in mind that adult orthodontic problems won’t get better with age and may require orthodontic surgery.
It is better to take preventive measures for your child, by bringing them into our Branford office so that they do not have to deal with more complicated orthodontic issues upon reaching adulthood. It’s not a good idea to wait to see if your child's orthodontic issues simply fix themselves if your child is seven years or older. Contact our Branford orthodontic office to schedule your initial exam; CT Braces is happy to help correct any orthodontic issues your child might have and give them a smile they’ll be proud to show off.
We want to give your child a perfect, healthy smile, and we’ve perfected a Two-stage, three-step program to make it possible.
- Phase one is about making sure your child's permanent teeth grow in properly aligned. This phase involves meeting with your Branford Orthodontist, so they recommend treatment for any jaw growth, tooth crowding, or spacing issues.
- After this, your child’s permanent teeth can naturally grow into place without the use of a retainer during a resting period.
- In Phase Two, our Orthodontic professionals will fit your child with a complete set of upper and lower braces that will help with the alignment any permanent teeth.

Branford Adult Orthodontics
It isn’t just children who need orthodontic treatment. One in five orthodontic patients are over 21, according to the American Association of Orthodontists. You deserve the perfect smile that will let you feel confident, and CT Braces of Branford can give you that.
The adult's jaw is harder, leading to higher risk of gum or bone loss, worn or missing teeth, or incomplete orthodontic treatment compared to the jaw of a child or teen.
Adult orthodontic needs are different from children’s, and CT Braces in Branford knows the proper way to handle both. Begin by calling our Bethel orthodontic practice to request information and to set up an initial exam.
Branford, CT Invisalign® Options
Branford CT Braces is a certified provider of Invisalign®. Invisalign® treatment consists of invisible, removable aligners that will help you achieve a healthy, straight smile without the use of braces. With the use of these comfortable trays, you can still eat, drink, brush and floss during your treatment. You will need to have a new set of aligners every two weeks to slowly but surely help move your teeth to the desired position.
We suggest you visit your Branford orthodontist every six weeks, during the entirety of your treatment which on average takes around 9-15 months; these visits are to make sure your treatment is progressing as it should. If you would like to discuss the benefits or learn more about Invisalign®, please contact your Branford CT Braces office for more information.
